Current Skincare Picks

My skincare routine is always changing ever so slightly... here's my latest update.
Recently I pared back on my routine, I wanted it to definitely be travel-friendly, so everything here I have a travel size or can depot it easily. And I wanted it to be minimal but do the job.

My Skin

My skin is extremely sensitive with an oily t-zone but really dry cheeks and chin. So it's a definite combination! I feel like my face goes through phases, so I wanted my routine to have something oil controlling and something hydrating as well.
My priority is that my products are gentle and won't do me any long-term damage, so I tend to stick to brands I know and love.

I really prioritise on cleansing. If our faces are clean, that's the most important thing right? So I use a Micellar Water and a cream cleanser. I'm using Garnier's Micellar Water, as it's a cheaper alternative to products like Bioderma. I haven't tried any other micellar waters however this one does a good job. I've taken to only using it at the moment if I have a lot of makeup on, as I don't tend to wear heavy makeup anyway.

My cream cleanser is the Cleanse & Polish from Liz Earle. I've been using this for over 6 years now and it's great. The bottles last me a long time as well. Plus it's available in travel size.

The mask I use is the Deep Cleansing Mask from Liz Earle. It's a light clay mask which I use every few weeks or more if I feel like I need it. I don't tend to use this one often because I find if I use a mask too frequently, it can upset my skin.

Although this mask says that it's not suitable for sensitive skin, I've never had an issue and it honestly depends on the person with this one!

I use The Body Shop's Seaweed Mattifying Moisturiser. I wasn't sure about this when I bought it, but the store clerk recommended it...and it's lovely! I'll definitely be back for another when I'm done.
This is not available as a travel size, however, I have pots I can pop some into when I need it.

I use Etude House's "Missing U, I Can Fly" hand cream. It's in a really cute bird shaped pot which I can keep by my bedside table...
I might have collected a few of these over the years.. it's not a wonderful hand cream, but in all honesty, I buy it for the packaging!
When I'm travelling, I use travel sized tubes of L'Occitane hand cream.

Thanks for visiting and checking out my skincare routine, soon I'll be posting my travel toiletry bag with my travel routine and makeup. I find having a pre-packed bag is great for students who are travelling back and forth often!

Have a great weekend, what are your skincare staples?
